Read the story ‘The Cask of Amontillado’, write an analytical essay about it. Your essay should focus on one or two elements of fiction other than plot devices. Your paper should not be a summary of the story but rather you should treat your reader as if he/she is in full knowledge of the story. For example, you might write about the element of the scenery or imagery of light in “The Cask of Amontillado’.” You are to analyze an aspect of the story and argue for it.
Details: 1) Your paper should have a thesis that comes at the end of the introductory paragraph. 2) Your paper should have an introductory paragraph that introduces the story’s title and its author. 3) Your paper should have one academic source. If you don’t know what that is, you can ask me or get a librarian to help you. 4) Your paper should have a Work Cited page. Your paper should be in MLA format: titles in proper format, a header, your own title, Times New Roman font, and proper, 1″ margins. 5) Your paper should be edited. |
