Trans formative negotiation: What would this look like, and would anyone be interested?
Facilitative mediation practice is linked and related to “problem-solving” negotiation practices. Given what you know of trans formative mediation practices (based on the textbook, trans formative mediation: A Source book), what would be the nature and practices of a “trans formative” model of negotiation, or direct conflict engagement? Can you find references in the conflict literature that help to sketch the concrete outlines of such a model? How would it work? How would you “sell it” to a general audience – like the people who buy books on “how to negotiate” – that is, how would you explain it and describe its value?
You should look into emotional intelligence, what it is, how it works, and how it plays a role in the negotiation model for trans formative mediation. Below is a link to start your research.
On the “Ruler” system of communication, based on “emotional intelligence”:

Also, you should look into Nonviolent Communication (NVC), now called “Collaborative Communication.” Below is the link to help you begin your research.
Lastly, the assigned text for the class which you must also refer to for your insight on trans formative mediation generally is, “Trans formative Mediation: A Source book” by Joseph P. Folger, Robert A. Baruch Bush, and Dorothy J. Della Noce.
Please focus on the model of NEGOTIATION and what it means in the trans formative mediation approach.
The paper should include footnotes.
Attached is a starting point for the paper, title “Comments” please read it in its entirety and incorporate the comments in red. The paper is half written by me, it is about 7 pages, once complete it should be about 20 pages.
