Organazational behavior.

Your task is to demonstrate your mastery of organizational behavior by applying the appropriate concepts and theories from the course to the behavior of your group as you worked on the group project. Think of your group as a kind of video “case.”  Was there any interesting behavior? Interesting interactions? You can focus on the group as a whole during the semester, or focus on an interesting event that occurred during the semester. You can focus on everyone, just one person, or a couple.

Your goal is to explain why people are behaving as they are, not just describe how they are behaving. Many students make the mistake of citing their member’s behavior as examples of different concepts from the course. Your primary task is to use the course material to justify why you think you and your members are behaving as you are, and make suggestions as to how they might behave better. Your suggestions for improvement should also be justified using the material from the course.

Remember that the point of the assignment is to demonstrate how well you have mastered the material. You can think of it as a take-home, essay exam. Although you might like to use your prior managerial experience to explain the behaviors (and it might be very good!), for your grade in the class I need to see how well you’ve learned the material in this course.

So, describe what happened briefly, use the course material explicitly to explain why the behavior(s) occurred (the majority of your paper), and make suggestions supported explicitly by your knowledge of the course.

Your paper should be 5 to 10 pages long, double-spaced, 12-point font, and indented paragraphs, with few grammatical (their vs. they’re, morale vs. moral, operational behavior vs. organizational behavior) and typographical errors.

【What happened during this semester】
Our Group have 4 people, Lisha,Mc, Thomas and me. We choose topic which is to help a group of people in some way. So we came out with idea that raise money for Ebola Relief. Lisha take charge for Facebook advertising, Tomas thought we should set up a table in front of opera house to ask people to donate money. I set up twitter page to advertise our project.
At the begenning of this semester, everyone participated in this project with postive attitute. However, after two weeks, Mc seemed like passive to do ths project, when he saw group email he just igonred. (During this semester, Mc’s participation is 0, didnt do anything)
Lisha takes charge of Facebook and Instagram for advertising our donation project, she created a facebook page, and mentioned it in our group email. However, Tomas did not see facebook link, so Tomas wrongly blamed Lisha, said she did not do anything when we meeting after class. So they squabble with each other. After that, Lisha seemed to negative attitute to this group project.
At the 4th~6th weeks, everyone seemed very passive to do this project including me. Not quite ofter replied group email. our group is like a fragment, members were lethargic. so far our group does not have a clear leader.
Later on, couple weeks nobody set up group email.
Until We found social networking advertisement cannot attract people click our donation page to donate money. We raised $0 after mid-term, that was too bad. Everyone seemed worried because we did not have too much time. We considered set up table in front of Opera house is a good idea. when we all(except Mc) worked on draw poster, designed flyer and bought tools(color pen, poster board) together, we felt work together was fun, I also tried to find some common topics with Lisha and Tomas, communicated with them. this enhance our relationship.

After that, we came back cohesive like beginning of semester, everyone replied email quickly(except Mc) Althrough we only collected few money in Opera House.

This is briefly descrption for this semester. To most diffcult for me is how to apply OB concept we learn from class into our case.
