You must prepare a well-defined investment plan and framework with initial hypothetical value of £2,000,000. The portfolio size is to be between 5(minimum) to 15 (maximum) assets and it should be well diversified.
You need to write the report that shows critical thinking, not just be descriptive.
You are required to produce and submit a final report with a word count between 2500 to 3500 words, that is not counting calculations, tables and appendices. Calculations, tables, etc real numbers and genuine financial analysis behind the report should be shown in the report at the end, after all the writing as an appendix. The numbers should be justified, they are not just made up, it is an important part to do genuine financial analysis that will showcase why did you invest a certain way, the results of that investment and so on. Explanation of how you got the numbers is critically important, more important than any other part of the report basically. The workings behind the numbers and any conclusions should also be shown.
You should clearly specify the asset allocation per category (i.e. physical and/or financial assets) in your plan.
Hypothetically the £2,000,000 is to be invested in shares and/or other financial
instruments and/or physical investments and you should choose only
investments whose prices are quoted in the Financial Times, or are obtained
from other reliable sources, which you must identify.
I will also attach 2 files with this, one is the brief (which is most important of the 2 documents) and the other is coursework “help” which basically shows possible table of contents, and also points out that report with critical thinking gets twice as much grades that a report that is just “descriptive”. So critical thinking is another big part of the coursework.
