A Personal Statement for Undergraduate Business Program
I am a college graduate in business studies. I hold a vast fanaticism in business studies particularly, in entrepreneurship and international English. My short-term and long-term professional goals are to broaden my business skills through an undergraduate study. Moreover, with the understanding that edification is a significant aspect in the contemporary world, I am determined to undertake a postgraduate study in human resources management, a course that will help me become an outstanding manager in the business world.
My desire to further my skills in business studies has been triggered by the fact that my father is in the business field where he owns several restaurants. This aspect has prompted my desire to study human resource and business management. I like seeing people working together.
It is imperative to note that I hold a powerful establishment of skills in business and a wish to expand my adeptness. I wish to become an excellent business manager where I will support people through sharing my business expertise. Throughout my educational life, I have managed to uphold tremendous performances in business studies. In this regard, I believe that a course in international English and entrepreneurship will help me achieve my life objectives.
As I indicated earlier, my desire to pursue business studies particularly human resource management have been instigated by my work experience. In fact, I have considerable work experience, which I attained when I was fifteen years old. Apparently, my work experience has prepared me to venture deeper in the business world. I did part-time work in my father’s restaurants where I worked as a dishwasher. I must say that being a person of a strong character, I began at a humble beginning but after several years, I was promoted to work as a waitress. Moreover, I have also offered my services in other restaurant where I gained diverse skills and mingled with different people. I have also worked in an ice cream shop in Aker Brygge.
I must admit that my work experience has actually exposed to me to a broad sort of business ideas, practices and experience. Additionally, my work experience has sharpened my communication, social and interpersonal skills. I believe that the mentioned skills will add value in my learning endeavors. With the fundamental and substantive skills in business, I trust that I am well geared up to take a step further and broaden my skills. Predominantly, the hardships and advantages that I have leaped from my education and work experience have helped me in recognizing that I hold the aptitude to broaden my skills and consequently become a significant person in the business world.
I am a flexible and hardworking person who apart from learning and working, engages in sporting activities. My love for sport began when was still young. In fact, I am actively involved in downhill, a sport that I have been practicing since when I was eleven years old. However, presently I take downhill as a hobby which I engage in during my free time. I am also an active and excellent tennis player. In this view, I am focused, dedicated, resilient and diligent person with a wish to do what it takes to ensure that I lay a strong foundation for my future. Actually, I have plans to take a TOEFL test in the coming month. I am determined to go an extra mile and see to it that I achieve the best in life. I therefore deem that I have a strapping base in my academic and personal life that inspires my willingness and potential to broaden my skills.
My personal attributes and achievements have triggered my desire to take a course in business studies. My good interaction and interpersonal skills have acted as an incentive to pursue a course in human resource and business management. I am an industrious, tolerant, focused person with a strong personality. My mission and apparition in life, performance, character and aspiration are true attestation that I can offer the best in my academic endeavors and in the business world, given a chance.
