Essential Essay components
1) Thesis. For example, “in this paper, I shall argue that…” or “My thesis is that…”
2) Descartes ‘methodic doubt and the first certainty obtained through its application;
3) The proof of the existence of God and God’s role in Descartes’ Meditations;
4)Descartes’ explanation (contained in Meditation Four) of the fact that, by nature, humans can make mistakes
5) The dualistic account of human nature that finally stems from the application of Descartes’ method
Please include in-text citations, and When citing Descartes, use bracketed margin numbers, for example [Meditations (22)].
Please strictly use only sources from the book: Rene Descartes Meditations on First Philosophy (third edition) by Donald A. Cress. (I will take a picture of the cover)
Also, please note that the essay has to be unified. As in not answering each component separately, make sure there is transition from paragraph to paragraph.
