Adam Gadahn’s life and his time with Al Qaeda
Introduction
Adam Gadahn was born in 1978 into an American Jewish family but later on converted to Islam rising to top ranks to become an interpreter and a spokesman for Al Qaeda.
Thesis
Adam Gadahn rise to one of the top ranks in Al Qaeda is interesting and all the things he has done for the terror group makes him of great significance to the intelligent community.
1. He grew up in a Christian environment but converted to Islam out of curiosity
a. He made himself believe that the concept of Christian trinity was .illogical and turned away from religion to figure out why Christians hated Islam, and it all stated in chat rooms where he held online discussions with Muslims in chat rooms.
2. Involvement with Al Qaeda
a. Used propaganda as a form of infiltration and coercion relaying false Christian information and serving as Osama’s translator in hate speech video and audio.
b. The weapons he used were Video footages and the internet that served to relay the needed information in an easy manner presenting security challenges to Americans through fear and Intimidation.
c. He was vital for the operation because he used his American background to inform the target on Al Qaeda;s plans as instructed by Osama.
3. What he has done for Al Qaeda
a. He has done a lot for the al Qaeda such as such as being a communications and translations officer (Berger, 26)
b. His landmark appearance on behalf of Al Qaeda was when he appeared in a videotape in 2004 (Berger, 22).
c. He did this for approximately seven years with observable changes in communications from 2005 that persisted all through the September 11th attacks to 2012.
d. According to (Michael, 215), Adam Gadahn is in hiding somewhere between the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
4. Adam Gadahn’s significance to the intelligence community
a. Adam Gadahn is of great significance to the intelligence community given the fact that he is a threat to the peace of the world (Michael, 214).
b. The intelligence community commits to ensuring peace and ensuring that there is the elimination of all the threats to peace.
c. He holds crucial information of how Al Qaeda works and he is a key to unraveling the tricks of Al Qaeda in the threatening world peace.
d. His arrest will mean a more watched Al Qaeda so that its attacks are under check and are more destabilized Al Qaeda than before.
