What book, read in the past year, has had a major impact on you? Provide author and title.
The book I read last year and found interesting is “Almost Everything: a vampire princess novel” by Tate Hallaway. This book affected me because of the division in Anna Parker torn between being a vampire and a witch. Her mother is the queen of the witches and that makes her to be half witch while her father is the prince of the vampires and that makes her to be half vampire. She is a girl struggling to live a normal life with normal issues such as relationship problems with her boyfriend. She is hooked to text messaging and that contributes to the current feuding with her boyfriend as he tries to win her back. This leaves her in confusion as the number of those interested in her increases and she gets confused concerning whom she loves. She is different from me because her nature of being a witch and vampire makes her to be in a mean environment and that is a very unwelcoming nature different from my warm personality.
I found the book interesting because as Anna struggles with her two bizarre identities, she still has suitors who cannot explain what interests them in her. It leaves the reader wondering if she was overly beautiful or if it was that she was powerful and that led to the attractions these men had on her. This is not common in real life as much as there is effort t make it a reality, but being that she was with supernatural powers of the witches and vampires, I would agree to her experience of too much love that she does not deserve. I felt that the girl received too much and that would make others envious of her position. Her fortunes seemed strange to me because of my being charismatic and generous and that made it hard to understand how Anna could keep three boyfriends. From the suspense created by the author regarding her decisions, I found it intriguing my imagination regarding whom she would eventually choose to have a serious relationship with in the end.
