In this research paper I want to argue why or how Esfahan became a city. So, I want to analyze and point out the key points of how Esfahan developed into a city and became one of oldest and greatest cities of Iran. I would like to use 4 resources, perhaps from iranicaonline.org, along with books or any other resources. In this research paper it’s important to have a thesis which in this case I would like it to be why, for what special reasons or how Esfahan was developed into a city. So we have to look at its history and point out why and how it developed into a city. Some of key points to be considered are size and density, full time specialization of labor, class structured society, state organization, monumental public works, long-distance trade, arts and craftsmanship, writing, science and engineering. These points are characteristics of cities, so by analyzing them we can argue why and how Esfahan was developed into a city.
