Art History

The renaissance period occurred between the years 1200s and 1500s. It brought with it an explosion of arts, poetry and architecture. It had arts that were attributed to good ideas, teachings and artistic expressions from the Greeks and the Romans. Such arts were composed of strength, balance order and symmetry as well as calmness that were easy to recognize on the Greek and Roman architecture (youtube). Such arts from the renaissance had an impact on an individual to make it look good. Renaissance artists are of the belief that advancing artists would arrive at their own unique style in the application of the process of imitation and emulation.

Ideas in the arts from the renaissance period had perfection ideas. At the end of the renaissance period it saw one artist that was unique from the rest looking at the features of good art. Raphael Sanzio encompassed a level of order and unity that was not applied there initially by other artists. The painting was of Madonna with the Christ Child and Saint the Baptist.

The period also was characterized with a set of illusions that build upon art work which resembled the implications that nature had. Such illusions involve linear perspective, aerial perspective and the management of such aspects to advance their impact.

The renaissance art was attributed to humanism, which is the focus on issues that relate to us and have an impact on our senses, thoughts and actions (wga, 2011). Adding to this, there is the collection of knowledge and focus on education, human values and the prevailing situation. Platonism is the contrast that exists between reality and perception like the sculpture of the Ancient Greece as well as Rome. Most of the arts contained this aspect.
