Bicycle safety for fourth graders is generally done to children who are around the ages of 9 and 10; they have acquired the cognitive ability to get to know the difficulty of road procedures. The children below this age have a hard ability to know the traffic concepts the rights of way (Leigh, 2011). As they mature they get to ride far away from home. Safety lessons to these children do much to limit the rate of injury to children in this age brackets.
This bicycle education creates programs that bring about innovative and progressive programs which are targeted at handling community values. These lessons offer venues for joining other people who have compatible objectives. The clubs that result from these objectives have educational alignments. They instill environmental values, reuse, bicycle mechanics, retail business work and bicycle as a healthy way of living in addition to it being fun.
When teaching the fourth graders about bicycle safety, it is vital that the students are not involved in any form of stereotypic activities. This is done by engaging each and every child in the activities that are taking place; answering questions, practice lessons among others, so as cater for everyone. Children are often sensitive to any form of discrimination and a keen hand should be employed. In the event one feels part of the group or lesson, he or she will be able to rhyme well with the lesson and other students.
There varied forms of information that would be of benefit so as to make the lesson more effective to the fourth graders. This may include; the health background of the fourth graders so as to guide against serious cases that may arise, and the level of visibility of the child as it would be necessary to read signs while riding. This would make it possible to have a smooth lesson for all the fourth graders.
