Autobiographical Essay
I come from a family made up of my mother, father, two brothers and a little sister. I immigrated to the USA 2years ago. This was because the country I come from is remarkably resilient and encoded with strict rules. They do not care for the welfare of kids and their interest. I am a hardworking person in nature, who believes in good educational systems. I believe that a good educational system would end poverty and other vices in the society. I also believe that education and learning are the only way of opening up a bright future for kids and adults as well; unfortunately, the country I come from sees education in another perspective. They do not see the usefulness of it, and this brings out many illiterate people in the society. The people do not value the importance or necessity of education.
The country only requires people to work and have a religious front. They put on strict measures, and incentives to make sure people obey their laws without questioning. This did not please me. I had the pure luck of having a father who knew the importance of education. He encouraged me to toil hard and put determination in my endeavors. I also had the advantage of accessing the internet, and it is this factors that made me plan my exit from this troublesome lifestyle.
Two years ago I packed and came to reside here in the USA. I chose this country since it offers a platform for the growth of people and it caters for education. The country offers a good quality education. Its educational standards are ranked among the best in the world. Another key factor that motivated me to choose the country is the belief in a working nation. My nature is of a hardworking person. I believe in working hard and achieving my goals. Ever since, I was little, I had a dream to work hard in my education and obtainmasters or a doctorate.
My dream in life is to become a doctor. Ibelieve being a doctor is the best career for me and my life. This is because; apart from my hardworking nature I also love to help the unfortunate people in the society.I love providing assistance and help to other people, and mostly for free. This is because I come from a humble background, and the art of giving is something was taught by my parents. I hope one day I will be an accomplished doctor and help the other people from my country. One of the major reasons that fueled my opinion of this is because medical access from the country I come from is exceedingly little.
On my thoughts on the outlier article, I believe Malcolm Gladwell brings out a new perspective on success and the importance of social welfare. Successful people do not necessarily depend on their talent; it also depends on the opportunity given, and the period of success. People like Bill Gates advanced due to this. Proper co-ordination in the social cohesion limits things like heart attack or diseases. In conclusion, I believe that I am accorded with the right opportunity. It is also the right stage to become successful in the medical field. I believe that opportunity knocks not twice, and if I endorse efforts in my future career, I will become successful in life.
