Automated Positioning Systems
Profile
Automated Positioning Systems “APS” is an engineering company that develops, supplies and supports GPS +GLONASS Mobile Equipment Management Systems (MEMS) and High Precision Machine Guidance (HPMG) solutions for the mining, earthmoving and rehabilitation sectors.
APS uses both software and hardware products. They work with software products such as mineAPSTM Mobile that is designed to improve operator awareness and feature low distraction design. The hardware products they use are such as the Astrum ® GNSS receivers which are designed to fit demands of machine and vehicle applications on and around the mine site.
Maintenance deals with ensuring physical assets of the company are functioning and are in good assets. APS use several maintenance programs and Maintenance Pro technology is one of them. Maintenance Pro is a an equipment based management software that is easy to use and affordable. It is already being used for a range of services; facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, heavy machinery, zoo maintenance, marine vessels, aviation maintenance, general equipment maintenance and more.
When it comes to preventive maintenance, Maintenance Pro makes it easy to detect when the equipment or vehicle is due for service at all times. There are automated, color coded preventive maintenance alerts that will be displayed on the program startup. It then provides preventive maintenance services that are already defined but can easily be customized.
Maintenance Pro enables one to track and monitor trends of breakdown maintenance, this enables one to decide whether an equipment can be kept in use or thrown out. When it comes to predictive maintenance, Maintenance Pro automatically calculates when corrective and preventive maintenance are due and informs you. APS uses up to date maintenance systems that are conversant with a lot of equipments and currently has newer versions that keep everything updated and not to need improvements.
