Assessments & Marking Scheme

Assessments on this postgraduate marketing programme are one piece of individual coursework of approximate of 3,500 words length, directly measuring the learning outcomes and accounting for 80% of your final module grade; and a series of 4 timed tests that provide the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of core aspects of the discipline and develop your understanding. These will account for 20% of your final grade.

The Research Methods written assignment requires you to present a research justification for the topic of your choice. It needs to be ‘literature informed’, which means that you need to provide sources and evidence for any arguments, discussions or understandings that you present.

The paper should be in four parts.

1. Introduction (250 words)

2. Literature Review:

The first section needs to use both academic and non-academic (as appropriate) sources to present your arguments for the research topic chosen. This section also needs to conclude with the justification for the primary research question you plan to explore. (1500 words)

3. Methodology

The second section needs to examine the literature on research methods and present your methodological rational for the way in which you intend to undertake the study. Please note, you are NOT required to undertake any actual research as a result of those recommendations for this paper. That will be the task for your Dissertation. (1500 words)

4. Summary (250 words)
