Perform research on-line to locate Health Information Jobs in any location across the nation. Pick two positions or job titles that interest you and then provide a report that answers the following questions for each position:
1. What are the job titles associated with the announcements?
2. In what type of setting are the positions located? (Be specific, is the facility an acute care facility, ambulatory surgery center, skilled nursing facility, etc.)
3. What type of HIM credential(s) are associated with the positions?
4. What professional organizations oversee the credentials associated with these positions?
5. What type of skills must you possess for the positions?
6. Why were you interested in these two positions?
7. Provide a copy of the specific announcement as well as the Web address where you found the announcement. (The URL will be provided in the body of your paper. The specific announcements will be provide as separate attachments.)
8. After you have completed the above listed items, take a look at the Web site http://hicareers.com/. What specific information is provided with regards to the value of holding an AHIMA specific credential?
Your report should be between 3-5 pages in length. The report is to be double spaced, have 1 inch margins, and should be written using Times New Roman and 12 point font. Make sure that you site your sources either within the body of the report or on a bibliographical page. (If you choose to provide a bibliography it will not count towards your 3-5 page report requirement) Your report should be presented in a narrative style.
