1. Research each of the assigned retailers in depth. Use at least four resources
2. As a result of your research, identify and clearly articulate in writing an issue, problem, or opportunity presented by the case. This statement will be your thesis. 3. Decide on strategic action points that will clearly and specificaly resolve the issue, solve the problem, or take advantage of the opportunity identified in the thesis. Identify as many as necessary to resolve the situation. Write each out. These statements may become topic sentences of the paragraphs in the body of your report. Make action points thorough, innovative, and realistic. There should be 3 action points. 4. Next, establish exactly and clearly how you would implement or put these action points into effect to improve the current performance of the business (one paragraph per action point. Consider the following: a. when implemented by the retailer, will the actions you reccomend in fact improve efficiencies and maximize sales and profit opportunites? Explain. b. If the completed case study were handed to you as a top- level executive, would it make clear exactly what you are going to share with your employees to improve the current performance? Keep in mind that you are presenting the information from the perspective of a hired consultant who is advising top-level management. Physical requirements: each case study analysis must be at least five written typewritten pages, double spaced, 12- point font. Introduction and company background should be about 2 pages. Thesis should be next then 3 action points and implementation Then conclusion |
