Classroom Consultation
Imagine that you are a consultant in educational psychology for an institution that serves children ages 14–18. You have been hired to observe the learning environment and provide recommendations that will improve classroom management, motivation, and engagement.
Although the education institution hired you for this consultation, it will be important to prepare a brief introduction to the teachers you will be helping. Briefly explain the reason for your consultation and how you might be able to help them. Write a description of the different factors you would be observing and explain why each particular factor is important to improve classroom management, motivation, and engagement. Based on those factors, then, create a list of 5–10 questions that would be helpful to consider prior to a classroom observation. Prioritize the questions in order of importance.
Be sure to also review the Classroom Consultation scoring guide as you prepare your assignment.
