Coleridge’s Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Coleridge’s “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” is often interpreted as a Christian allegory of sin and redemption. However, this reading has to overlook many of the strange events in the poem and ignores much of the poem’s bizarre “logic.” Make an argument for how this theme is portrayed in the poem using lines and quotes from the poem to support your argument.
