Written review assessment Criteria
• Address the question/ title. Explain what the focus of your research will be.
• Use a range of sources, including academic research. Cite references from a minimum of five articles from academic journals. Two of these, at least, must be published in the last five years (2010-2015). You may also refer to other sources; books, newspapers, technical magazines, world wide web etc. A minimum of 10 sources, in total, is expected
• Evaluate theories and ideas derived from research.
• Support arguments and discussion with citations to reading that are properly referenced in your bibliography. Use the Harvard referencing system.
• Structure the review so that the discussion is presented in a coherent and systematic fashion, with an introduction and an evaluative conclusion. It is a good idea to have subheadings to structure the flow of your discussion.
• Write articulately, using correct syntax and grammar. Write in your own words
• Ensure the length of your review is within the word count advised. This does not include the bibliography or direct quotes. Lengthy direct quotes are not a good idea.
