In 2012, the Obama administration announced a new policy on the enforcement of immigration laws entitled Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
a) Briefly describe the policy.
b) Enumerate the important provisions of the policy.
c) What is the purpose of the policy or what is the “perceived” need for the
policy?
d) Who are the stakeholders in the policy (who benefits, who are negatively
affected and why?)
e) Explain whether the policy gives substantive value and why.
f) Explain the legitimacy and political sustainability of the policy.
g) Explain whether the policy is operationally and administrative feasible.
