Discussion 1 HIGHER EDUCATION THEORIST, PART 1
Download the reading list, Higher Education Theorists, from the Resources (if you have not done so already).
Choose one theorist from an area that interests you (leadership, enrollment management, adult learning, teaching and learning, or student services).
Read all articles provided for that theorist.
Find at least one additional article on your own.
Prepare a 250–500 word post that includes the following:
Summarize the main theoretical points of the articles.
Synthesize the articles as a group, and find a common thread written by or about the theorist you chose to study.
Provide at least one example of the theory used in practice.
Be sure to cite your sources using APA style and formatting.
Discussion 2 THEORY AND CHANGE
Briefly summarize the main premises of your selected theorist. Describe how you could implement change in your area of interest utilizing a theory or topic discussed in that theorist’s writing?
Discussion 3 IN-BASKET: THEORY TO PRACTICE
Choose one of the In-Basket challenges. After conducting your self-study of a selected theorist and reading the postings in the previous Unit 6 discussions, Higher Education Theorist, Part 1 and Theory and Change, state which theory or theorist is associated with your decision (either the one you chose or one chosen by a peer learner) and support your claim.
