How we will learn best from and with each other?
Classroom consists of various students who are well versed with knowledge in diverse subjects and courses that are taught. This also applies to my class which comprises of a number of students who are well versed with information in the subjects that we are taught. For this reason, we can best learn from each other through class and group discussions by assisting the students who are weak in various subjects. In our class, we have shared ourselves into groups of ten for the purpose of group discussion. The groups consist of a group leader whose major purpose is to collect questions that will be used in the discussions. The formation of the groups is fair in the sense that the teacher makes sure that the group comprises both the clever students who will be able to share their knowledge with the students who are weak in particular subjects and courses. Sample papers are also used in the group and class discussions to ensure that all the students are well prepared for examinations.
What is the importance of holistic evaluation?
Holistic evaluation is very vital in the sense that it assists to grade the student according to their ability and the quality of work they can be able to produce. The performance of the students in the class works can also be used in the categorizing of the students basing on how they can be able to undertake their course works. The grading of the students is very essential basing on the fact that it assists the teacher to identify the weak students who needs more attention. The moment the weak students are identified, the teacher uses available material and experience to teach the students on how best they can read and make their own class notes. The weak students are also taught on how to analyze and read in a proper manner so as to pass in the final examination.
Why are your contributions over the 8 week period important?
My contributions over the last eight weeks are very essential to both the teachers and the students in the sense that it helps to analyze and identify the various ways in which the students can be able to read and write properly. My contribution also gives essential detail on how that students can coordinate together to ensure that they are all able to perform better in the examinations.
What makes discussion board so important?
Discussions boards are very vital in the sense that they assist in the identification of the student’s performance basing on the various grading that have been made on the analysis of the class performance. The discussion board is also very essential because it identifies the various problems that the teacher and the students are facing and come up with a number of measures to tackle the limitations.
Recommendations
I strongly recommend that frequent discussion boards should be undertaken to ensure that the problems the students and the teachers are facing are well adhered to and solved. In this case, all will have a mutual understanding that will ensure effective communication is adhered to. I also propose that the grading process should be well analyzed to ensure that the weak students are provided with available learning material to promote their performance.
