For this essay, take a specific position about your narrowed-down topic and argue it with research-based
evidence. Remember that the essay must not be a compilation of others’ ideas. You must still develop your
own voice and explain how the research supports your thesis. This paper is a culmination of all you’ve learned
in the course, so showcase your essay writing skills and grammatically-correct sentences.
Research IS required. You must incorporate a minimum of three scholarly sources. You may use non scholarly
sources as long as you meet that minimum and they don’t take precedence over your scholarly sources
within the body of the essay (but you may not use Wikipedia). When in doubt, stick to scholarly sources.
