Final outline should include: What do you want to do: a paper or a media project? What do you have in mind for the project? What is your question (thesis)? How do you plan on answering your question? Are there people who you are including in your final? Do you have their permission?
For your Final you will have two options: a video/visual project (mini documentary, video collage, interview, etc) or an audio project (interview, podcast, etc.). Each project should be no more than 3.5 minutes in length. Each project will have a two (2)-page written component. The written component should include the following—just a more in-depth version of your outline or you can do a traditional paper.
Media projects:
– What you are setting out to do/accomplish (project design)
– What you actually did (project implementation)
– What results you received (project result/answers)
Please choose one of the following questions to answer with your project:
– Does technology change our values and/or culture? How or how not?
– Is technology making us more or less human?
Particulars:
– You must use two (2) of the readings from class. These readings can be an entire book or an essay in an anthology.
– You must use two (2) other references outside of what we reviewed/discussed in class.
– If you are conducting an interview, you must interview two (2) or more people, preferable people you do not know or who will not automatically agree with you.
– Remember epistemology and ontology.
