Climate change is probably the most serious challenge facing the entire planet. While international efforts to deal with climate change have been weak at best, a November agreement between US President Barack Obama an Chinese President Xi Jinping has raised hopes that the world may finally be ready to deal with climate change.
Why has it been so difficult for countries to take concrete action on climate change? Is effective global action on climate change possible? Why or why not?
