Evaluate how they have been used in the past to understand how the media function

Using the key concepts introduced in the module (audience, genre, narrative and representation), produce a collaborative book containing a written critical analysis of the group documentary that you produced during the 72-Hour Challenge. Each person in the group should take responsibility for the production of one chapter of this book.
When you are writing your assignment, you must remember:
• that this is a collaborative assignment but each member of the group must
take responsibility for one individual chapter of the book. Although you can discuss the documentary with your group, use the work on the group LogQuest as a basis and help each other draft your chapter, you have to produce your own chapter of the critical analysis and your name has to be clearly indicated at the top of the chapter.
• that this assignment is not an evaluation of the process of production but of the finished media object: to succeed in the assignment you cannot produce a description of the process (we did this, then we did that) but must analyse and reflect upon the finished documentary
• that you cannot provide just a description of the key concepts but, rather, you must describe the key concepts and then apply them to your own documentary
• to use the key concepts from the lectures and workshops – audience, narrative, genre and representation – as a minimum in this analysis. You can bring in other concepts where appropriate:
• to use the readings suggested in class, on Moodle and on the blog to structure and develop your own analysis
• to use the Harvard Referencing system to correctly lay out your bibliography Assessment Criteria
