Critical Evaluation of a primary source. This is the Critical Assignment for this course and must be passed at an acceptable rate in order to pass the course. Each student will evaluate Alexander Carson’s The Propagation of the Gospel, with encouragements to the vigorous persecution of the work: A sermon preached in Surrey Chapel, London, October 12, 1842. The required sections for the paper are below (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1): a. Synopsis — Give a synopsis of Carson’s work. The following information must be clearly identified: Carson’s main purpose, his audience, and his presuppositions (2 pages minimum)
b. Examine and evaluate Carson’s argument and how his presuppositions influence his argument (2 pages minimum)
c. Write a personal response to Carson’s thesis, presuppositions, and argument (1 page minimum)
