The final assessment of the ‘Multi-media’ assignment for this course requires students to individually develop and submit a multi-media communication method to address a public health issue of their choice.
Topic
– Falls in the elderly population in Australia
The communication strategy should communicate:
– Risk
– Harm
– Effectiveness of specific strategies to address the public health issue.
The strategy needs to be inclusive of diverse audiences of different cultural and formal educational backgrounds.
Length and/or format: 1000 words maximum (anything over this limit will not be read). This does not include pictures, figures, tables, (posture, brochure, etc.) and references. It does include any headings/questions from the checklist. Your assignment (in total) cannot be more than 5 pages (A4)
Purpose: For students to individually develop and submit a multi-media communication method to address a public health issue of their choice.
My suggestion
– As this assignment is all about creativity and how to use multi-media communication method to address a public health issue
o No need to focus on finishing the final Multi-media
o Just create an example of the Multi-media and then explain how it will be used
o E.g. posters or pamphlets – only create a simple version of it and then talk about how it will be (Be creativity) e.g. talk about that using big words in poster/pamphlet for the elderly as they might not have a good eye vision
