This essay will allow students to focus on the concept of the role of a nurse in a multidisciplinary team.
Students must use the essay topic given below. The essay structure must include an introduction, body and
conclusion. There should be no new material introduced into the conclusion of your essay. You are required to
use the marking guide to inform your essay writing and structure. You will note in the marking guide there is
provision for you to self-appraise your essay prior to submission. Students are required to appraise their work
in view of the assessment requirements and assign a mark using the same criteria as the lecturer. Selfappraisal
is a way to encourage self- reflection and identify strategies for further improvement.
There should be a minimum of ten relevant and current references cited throughout. All references need to be
peer reviewed resources that are less than 5 years old (either textbooks, journal articles from trusted
databases or appropriate government websites). All presentation requirements both in the body of the
assignment and in the reference list should follow the APA format. Please refer to assessment guidelines and
