In particular, these may focus upon the case studies of specific countries/regions and the impact/effects of particular processes of globalization within them.
Example report titles would be:

A report on the extent of, and reasons for, patterns of drink and drug misuse in Poland
Structure of the Report:
As this is a report, you can use subtitles and you should number paragraphs to make the format consistent with normal report structures.
The report should contain the following information:
Title – identifying the country or region and the issue to be focused upon
Contents List: Provide a list of contents and many people also choose to put page numbers beside this.
Introduction: providing a rationale for the choice of area, based usually upon statistical or political significance of the area and issue. An outline of what the report contains.
Country Profile:
As you have to assume the reader will not know about the country and area you are about to examine, you need to provide a country profile, with maps (where necessary) and perhaps provide further statistical data on demographic change and so forth.
Main Sections – these will be subtitled and should be structured around your particular chosen area. You should aim to demonstrate a range of aspects of the issue in hand. It is here that your tutors can help you to think about what might be good to include and what might be judiciously left out. You may choose to have themed sections on specific topic areas and/or sections that focus upon specific government policy responses to the issue. There might also be be global responses (from the World Health Organisation or international NGO’s), social roles and traditions you may deem to be important, or obstacles to achieving change on your topic. As an independent learner you have to make sure that there is a coherence in what you include, so that sections can relate back and forth to one another and the reader knows exactly what the report is trying to achieve. Remember you only have 2500 words and so you will need to keep the style tight and well structured. You can use the report planning session, to begin to pull some ideas together. It is quite important you settle on your topic relatively early on, as you do not have the time to keep changing or modifying it.
Summary: It is quite normal to provide a summary, even in your essays. However, in a report you will want to make this tight and punchy.
Conclusion: What are the future issues that may effect the topic you focus upon? Are there events on the horizon that seem likely to influence and shape your chosen topic?
