These three great Muslim thinkers—Ibn Sina, Ghazali and Ibn
Taymiyyah—represent three different trends or approaches in Islamic thought and practice. I want you to describe and compare their three very different approaches to Islam. You should also briefly describe each of their lives—possibly linking their differences in thought to the differences in their circumstances.
Our textbook has a chapter on these three thinkers. Also I will post on Blackboard scholarly articles or chapters on these thinkers which you must use in your paper. In addition you must supplement the textbook and the Blackboard readings with your own research, identifying at least one other scholarly source.
You must give at least one quote and citation from each one of these sources. A works cited page or bibliography is required.
