Title Page: It should include the title of the report, the author name(s), module course and the date.
Contents page: You should list all the main sections of the report in sequence with the page numbers they begin on. If there are charts, diagrams or tables included in your report, these should be listed separately under a title such as ˜List of Illustrations together with the page numbers on which they appear.
Abstract: This should be a short paragraph summarizing the main contents of the report. It should include a short statement of the main task, the methods used, conclusions reached and any recommendations to be made. The abstract or summary should be concise, informative and independent of the report. Write this section after you have written the report (Maximum 200 words).
Introduction: This should give the context and scope of the report and should include your terms of reference. State your objectives clearly, define the limits of the report, outline the method of inquiry, give a brief general background to the subject of the report and indicate the proposed development (it should be around 8 to 9% of the total report content).
Literature review: What other people have written about this topic. The literature review should lead towards your research question. Information must be organized under appropriate topics with sub-headings. You need to synthesize material from different sources under topic headings.
Discussion: Discusses and explains your findings and relates them to previous research. Describe what you discovered, observed, etc. Typically, you should present each issue individually and impartially, discussing first one side and then the other side of each argument that relates to your topic. Progress through your arguments in order, starting with your weakest argument or issue and progressing to the strongest. This structure allows your reader to follow your flow of thought easily
without getting distracted. This part of your report must be around 800 words (min).
Conclusion: This is the section of the report which draws together the main issues. It should be expressed clearly and should not present any new information.
