Papers should be double-spaced with 12-point type and standard margins. Please number your pages. All materials must be accurately and consistently cited, following the style of your choice. This includes paraphrasing, as well as direct quotations. Be sure to follow proper formatting for longer quotations.
Include a title page with the following information: title of the paper (your choice), your name, your student ID number, course title, course code, my name and the date. Please use letter-sized paper without any additional covers and use only staples to attach your pages together.
Evaluation
Essays will be graded based on clarity, organization and strength of arguments. Overall, I am looking for a clear thesis statement, and clearly stated and well-supported arguments that address one of the assigned questions. This also includes separating out key points into distinct paragraphs or sections, providing examples or explanations to support your claims, and maintaining a consistent set of arguments throughout the paper. Clear writing (including proper spelling and grammar) helps me understand your arguments and avoids confusion about your meaning.
