Hull House Initiatives

Hull house is an initiative started by Jane Adams in Chicago in the year 1889. Hull house initiative aims’ at helping the poor, to teach them culture and attain progress to persons of all age groups.
Comparison of hull house initiative in the 20th and the 21st century
Hull house assisted in many peace initiatives in the 20th century, especially with the occurring of the First World War and the Second World War. Many initiatives came up during the 20th century, to ensure peace and growth of all. In the 21st century, there are fewer initiatives taking place since the hull house initiative has financial strain due to lack of sponsors. Hull house received many charity funds during the 20th century; to run the nonprofit organization since people were enthusiastic about the work the organization was taking part. In the 21st century, there is less funding since such organizations are government based to insure education and rise of social welfare to all.
Hull house initiative received people from different countries to see how the initiative worked since in the 20th century, there were little developments to assist the poor in communities. The 21st century, has experienced many changes in how the governments of many countries handle the social welfare of their people, hence the developments made has resulted too few people visiting the initiative. Hull house took part in resettlement of people especially during the 20th century, because of the world wars that occurred. In the 21st century, any resettlement of displaced persons is the concern of the government since it has a responsibility to their people. Many changes have come in Hull House initiative in the 21st century, due to the government involvement in social welfare of their citizens.
