Human resource information systems
Computer evolution in Apple Company
The apple company is popularly known to have begun its inventions and system operations in the year 1975 by Steve jobs and a collaboration series with Steve Wozniak. Their adoption of the type and resource from the Xerox at PARC developments into the operating systems sector made the apple computer capable of bringing competition to the then ruling computer technologies corporation, Microsoft. Since then, the corporation has only been able to attain less than 3% of the total personal computer market worldwide, which holds a potential two hundred billion dollars. The reason for this little market share in comparison with its rival companies such as Dell is because of the diversion of product interest from personal computers to operating systems of music players such as the iPod and iPad.
After the long and anticipated drop of the apple Macintosh operating systems and personal computers in the early months of 1984, Microsoft felt the need to release a disk operating system called windows to become competent with the trends of the rival company of Apple. Critics of the company’s operations concerning the operating systems and human resource utilities managed to pull out a reality that the industry still did not fulfill the market’s needs within the computers at a time personal computers were not a household artifact or equipment (Macnamara, 2010).
Steve jobs management in the company for more than twenty years after the initiative managed to collaborate with Intel inside corporation in the manufacture of Macintosh computers in the industry. This pursuit did not make the company change its signature in the manufacture and trend in their style of creating the Macintosh computers and operating systems. Meaningful forensics has however proved that there are a few differences between the Intel-mac and Intel-pc in the field of file systems and its partitioning scheme. Defining the new layout system of the partitioning system of the Macintosh computers and operating system in comparison with other systems such as Microsoft is today’s basis of differentiating the policies enhanced by Steve jobs to make the unique Macintosh computers (Phillip, Cowen & Davis, 2009).
Internet Resources in Microsoft
In Microsoft’s FrontPage in the year 2003, opting for the menu command help the developer usually directed to the site of Microsoft’s front page developer’s website. The reference initiative implies that the documentation style and development kits that the internet resource that Microsoft used were available for extension and customization purposes for the home user of the operating system. Microsoft also initiated the use for a newsgroup as a means of informing the user on updates and personal support on the same FrontPage of Microsoft internet resource. Invented by the Microsoft Corporation, the World Wide Web is an internet initiative that acts as a resource for information within a short period. Probably the most crucial and purposeful invention by the company on the side of internet browsing and information acquiring, the obtaining of such intent information by the users was pursued by a need for a program that enabled the acquiring of the data.
Microsoft then met the needs of the clients by the invention of the browser software such as the Microsoft internet explorer, Mosaic and Lynx (Hawking & Alliance for Technology Access, 2004). Depending on the kind of information and data that the user is in search of, graphics of the internet matters in terms of text and accessibility guidelines are the basis materials that consider the type of browser of the unit system. Search engines within the web pages and newsgroups of the operating system and user interests have been installed by the Microsoft Corporation. The excel VBA programming system was also a similar initiative by Microsoft on the note of promoting the internet resources that the company had hold of. With the application, online services that were established by other companies were also able to apply the executable program in their services and products through promotion and advertisement. Being able to come to terms with objects, patterns and methodologies within the carious fields of research is also a key imitative of the VBA aiding system by Microsoft. With the application, Microsoft met the needs of researchers, scientists and marketers.
Key Course Concepts
With the trend of the evolution of the computers in the electronics market from the first thirty ton machine at the University of Pennsylvania to today’s minicomputers that weigh less than one kilo, Apple and Microsoft have definitely made technology relevant in the lives of the global population, personally and socially. Therefore, the internet and intranet resources have been the main concept of the course taken by the companies. Human recourses in terms of ideas by the creators of the products and services, Steve jobs in the case of Apple and Bill Gates and his team in the terms of Microsoft, have been properly utilized by their inventions and initiatives (Byers-Rue, 2004).
The practices that the companies used in their rise to domination and most competitive companies in the world have been initiatives that could be assessed in terms of the real value of the internet and personal computers to their clients from the early years and policies and strategies made by the government and demands by the consumers. In gratitude to the policies that were made by both companies, apple has been able to fully satisfy the personal computers market because of their diversion into the music players market in 2006, leaving the likes of dell and Compaq to dominate the industry. Microsoft faces the most blogs and help support responses from the clients because of the victorious and efficient maneuvers since the invention of the windows operating system and internet resources such as browsers and Excel VBA programming concepts.
