Guidelines for Research Paper
Length of paper:
No shorter than 8 pages, not including bibliography, endnotes or images. Each page should be 250 page word count.
Citations:
• .DO NOT USE MLA FORM which is the short form parentheses after the citation. Use Turabian style.
Bibliography:
Bibliography must include at least have at least 7 sources. Text books and encyclopedias are not acceptable. You must include 2 books and 1 article in addition to any internet sources. Two of your sources must be primary sources.
Format:
• 12pt font: Times New Roman
• Titles of artwork italicized
• Images should not be included in the text but rather in a separate section after the Bibliography.
Paper Topic:
All paper topics must be approved. You need to focus your paper on a VERY SPECIFIC aspect of the artist’s work. Here are some examples. All thesis statements and bibliographies must be approved. You will submit a thesis statement. I will give you feedback and suggestions before you submit a revised thesis statement and bibliography.
