minimum of ten pages of text and having consulted a minimum of ten scholarly sources, of which at least one must be primary. The paper shall be formatted and attribution given according to Turabian, Manual of Style (6th edition). The paper must place the topic in context and identify the relevant historiographical issues, supporting or dissenting from it where appropriate. Must include a) a title page, b) the body of your paper consisting of a minimum of ten pages of text, c) end notes–where you attribute your source material, d) a bibliography, and e) an appendix containing the specific places from which you cited material. This final part e could consist of a photocopy of the specific page in a book from which you took a fact (plus the publication data concerning the book), a print out from a websource with the fact, idea, or other “borrowed” material (including the URL), and or the physical note card on which a fact, idea, quotation or other “borrowed” material was cited along with a reference to the specific source of the borrowing.
