Leadership Qualities

Foundations of Leadership
Everywhere we look and in every organization we are involved in, there are leaders. Some stand out more than others. Some are formal leaders, given a title and authority, while others are informal leaders without such designation who others look to as experts in their field. In any case, whenever there are groups of people, there are leaders. Some are effective leaders, and some are still trying to evolve into this role. Some seem to come by it naturally while others need to work harder at developing good leadership skills. If you think about your professional and personal life, you will undoubtedly find many excellent examples of leadership, whether effective or not.

Main Task: Assess the Evolution of Leaders and Their Impact on Organizational Strategy
Some classify leaders as those who command the obedience of their followers. Others utilize their positions to improve themselves and therefore gain enriching experiences. In your paper, assess how leaders evolve based on your readings, external research, and personal and professional experiences. Remember, leaders are not confined to business organizations.

In addition, analyze each leader, focusing on personal attributes based on the “Instrument for Reflection and Discussion” found in Chapter 1 of your text. Other factors that reflect these leadership attributes, such as strategic decision making, can also be included in your paper.
Outcome: Assess how individual bases of executive action and experience impact strategic choice in an organization
