You will critically evaluate this business:
– to develop leadership strategies to address the issues and problems;
– to create effective change and achieve beneficial outcomes.
This task is designed so that you can look at a hypothetical, yet realistic business situation. The simulation will feature the yourself as the sports business leader, in a situation where they are to objectively determine the best course of action, to lead the business through a process of change and to achieve beneficial business outcomes. To successfully navigate the business through a change process, students will be required to draw upon the lectures, readings and exercises from Weeks 5 – 11 (will be uploaded) of this Unit.
You will be required to demonstrate their skills and knowledge, by drafting a strategic plan of action, justified through the correct and appropriate use of leadership theory, strategies and tactics of leaders, theories of organisations and theories of change management. This would include the identification of significant obstacles and issues associated with the leadership practice and action plan, and ways to overcome them.
