Literature Review
Literature reviews give your readers an overview of the sources you reviewed while conducting research and shows how your research will fit into a larger area of study.
For this review, you will utilize the Kaplan Library and select a scholarly journal article which pertains to an interest of yours within crime prevention. Think of some answers you would like to seek from reviewing the article and the research presented in the article. Examine the methodology, statistics, and framework of the research article. You can include controversies as well if they are present.
Organize your information in a way that makes the most sense. Some reviews begin with a definition or an overview of the topic. Make sure the information relates to the answers to your questions you had in seeking research. When writing your review, make sure you have done more than just summarizing the article like you would if you were completing a book report. You are assessing the article and answering questions you had prior to beginning your research.
Your review needs to be 2-3 pages in length and completed in proper APA Format.
Note: The following is an example of the type of journal that can be used for your review.
