Living in Small Cities and Big Cities

Living in Small Cities and Big Cities
Introduction
There are many differences between the lifestyle practiced in big cities as compared to that of small cities. The causes of the differences base on the utilities available in the two distinct places, the working areas and conditions of the people among various other factors. Big cities and small cities differ in terms of traffic. Moreover, the taxes imposed on people in the two different places vary with the locality. Generally, the life and characteristics of the two different types of places have a very great deficit.
The first attention to give is on the lifestyle in big cities. Luxurious possessions characterize the people that live in these places. The possessions include things like expensive cars and jewelry. The people are also very competitive to outdo their fellow compatriots and in order to achieve this; they have the aspect of very high competition. Another characteristic of the lifestyle found in big cities is the activities that they carry out and the manner in which they do it. People in large cities work very hard and are always busy. The manner in which they walk along the streets is characteristic of very hard working people.
The lifestyle in small cities is completely different from that of big cities. The cause of this is due to the low levels of development that characterizes the place. The low developments make the people that live in these places humble and friendly. Unlike the big towns, the people living in these small towns are very welcoming to outsiders. Another characteristic of the people that live in these small towns is the fact that they carry out small personal businesses. Unlike in large towns where there is the employment of many people, the people living in small towns largely depend on themselves to survive.
A characteristic that shows difference between the people that live in big cities and small ones is on the issue of taxation. Many of the people that live in large cities bear the major blunt of taxation. Many of the products that they consume get highly taxed due to the amount of money and processes that they go through before reaching the final consumer. The people in big towns pay their taxes very fast as compared to those in small towns. This is due to the speed that the authorities ask for their money in.
People who live in small cities are not as highly taxed as those that live in big ones. The people that live in these small cities do not experience as much pressure to pay their taxes as those that live in big towns. This is due to the fact that the people that live in these small towns have their lives going slowly as opposed to the speeded up big city life. The people that live in the small towns do not pay much tax as their products are mostly self supplied.
Another difference between the large city life and the small city life is traffic. In large cities, there is always the problem of traffic jams due to the large number of cars that exist in the areas. The large number of cars is due to the vast population of people living in the big towns and subsequently there arises a lot of pollution from the cars.
In small towns, the number of cars is less and hence they do not suffer the problem of traffic jams and hence traffic flows smoothly. There are not as many businesses in the small towns as in large towns and hence people are never in a rush to get to town. The lack of a hurry leads to people accessing the commercial and the few businesses places at different times of the day. This leads to the roads being free of large amounts of traffic at specific times of the day. This is unlike the big towns that have large amounts of traffic in the evenings and mornings.
Conclusion
In general, the difference between the two types of neighborhoods is distinct. People that live in the big towns are content with their lives and got used to the lifestyle. The same case applies to the people that live in small towns. It is important to note that despite the differences, adaptation is what matters most.
