• Please read the material assigned for week 8 about the “reaction” to modernity. Locate an image/painting/art work that speaks to any aspect/s of the growing concern/crisis/malaise surrounding modernity (this can be either from the images seen in our museum visit, or any art work from the relevant period of time with which you are familiar). Then try to engage and compare at least one of the texts we read in the second half of the course (since and including week 6) with the chosen image, in order to produce some interesting argument about Modernity and its discontents.
