This assignment is worth 120 points (1 point for identifying a medical term / abbreviation, 1 point for the correct definition, and 20 points for identifying references.)
List the words of the abbreviations and medical term definitions than are pertinent to the case study. For example:
1) AMA – Against Medical Advice (instead of another abbreviation such as Advanced Maternal Age) – This means a patient decides to leave the hospital against the medical advice of their medical provider.
2) Placenta Previa – occurs when the placenta is in the lower portion of the uterus and thus blocks the birth canal. (Source – Fremgen & Frucht)
If the student had defined the placenta in #2, I would be giving them additional points for defining 2 terms.

Next, any reference guide you use to define the terms must be listed in the bibliography (format of your choosing but it must be from a reputible source such as dictionary, American Heart Association website, etc)
