Instructions for research paper:
1. The proposal
I want to focus on what I mention in the proposal and my thesis statement is clear illustrated in the proposal.
Thesis statement: In this paper, I am studying George Gissing in order to explain how sexuality and marriage were regarded in the Victorian period. I also want to examine how views on marriage and sexuality effected the idea of the “other” and how “otherness” appears in the novel.
2. Since I apply the New Historicism theory so I choose Michel Foucault as a theorist who talk about sexuality .so please pay attention to this point: “As a reader, I was interested to make new historicism reading of this novel and do reading in the light of New Historicism theorist”
3. If you find another theorist which is New Historicism and talk about sex and marriage you can apply it and also you can apply two other sources to support ideas.
4. You have to read a novel in order to now the characters and the views
