The Objet Eden350V is a form of 3D printer of Polyjet polymer a new 3D printer that ranges to 3D Prototyping which offers prototyping services. It has a big build area and build layer that has the ability to offer better form of accuracy and extensive prototypes. The product has a wide range of materials.

Company background

Objet makes and market 3D printers of great quality in addition to 3D printing products. Most of products are used for fast prototyping design process, engineering and manufacturing firms. The company has its headquarters in Rechovot, Israel and has been in operation for about 13 years. The technology used in the printing relies on inkjet printing aspects, though using photopolymer products to make models and prototypes (Stratasys Ltd, 2013). The company produces 3 different lines of 3D printers; Desktop, Professional Eden and Objet Connex lines. Generally there are 9 printers from Objet24 which is the smallest to Objej VeroWhitePlus and Coonex500 that have varied effective attributes.

The Objet Eden350V costs around $200,000.

 

Size

The Objet Eden350V has four sealed cartridges of 3.6 Kgs

The tray size is 13.8 x 13.8 x 7.9 in.

The net build size is 10.0 x 9.9 x 7.9 in.

Layer thickness in the horizontal area is 0.0006 in.

The resolution; X-axis and Y-axis is 600 dpi and Z axis is 1600 dpi.

Size and Weight being 52.0 x 39.0 x 47.25 in and 902 lbs respectively.

Its accuracy is about 20-85 um for attributes much smaller than 50mm to 200um for complete model sizes, that is, they have strong materials with regard to shape, aspects and model formation.

Materials

The Objet Eden350V has its materials created on the PolyJet technology with a wide range of materials. The printer’s material has a strong opaque of varied colors (white, black or blue). There are similarly two transparent materials, there is the RGD720 and VeroClear depending on one’s choice. The RGD720 is used for standard plastic simulation that calls for dimension steadiness and smooth lining. While the VeroClear is applied in fit and form testing of transparent elements and simulation of thermoplastics like PMMA (Stratasys Ltd, 2013). The material has the ability to withstand high levels of temperature. The material can be polypropylene-like or rubber. These materials can be painted, drilled or fixed together with plated or vacuum products (Javeline, 2013). In case the parts are huge, the materials that more appropriate in gluing them so as to create a sized prototype.

Consumer products

The Objet Eden350V accords consumers varied products like: the Vero White 830 which has white materials the same as ABS, great flexible and humid resistance, operation at high temperature and can be used for painting or plaiting (Stratasys Ltd, 2013).

There is also Durus White 430 with a translucent material the same as polypropylene, flexible material and easy to reset its shape.

The Vero Clear 810 has a clear material to Poly Carbonate with the ability to polish and has varied applications like lenses and screen covers among others.

The Tango Black Plus 980 has a black rubber material with great elongation break point with several uses from valves to tyres among others.
