I chose Gorbachev’s reform policy “perestroika” as my topic. Perestroika in
definition means, “restructuring.”
I plan to find out how this economic reform helped Russia stand up after the war economically and socially. I also plan to research about the ill-fated perestroika and why it did not meet expectations. Our textbook states that although perestroika had an affect it wasn’t as much as it was intended. So I plan to find out what actions did not succeed over the period.
