Report on Readiness for PM. Your task is to assess your organization’s readiness for Performance-Based Management. Specifically, you will utilize the questions in Boxes 10.1 and 10.2 in chapter 10 of de Lancer Julnes’s Performance-Based Management Systems to guide your inquiry or assessment. It doesn’t matter whether or not the organization has a strategic plan that includes performance measurement. The final written report should be what you would submit to someone who hired you to conduct this work. You will likely have to interview people in the organization, formally or informally. Either way, you must document where all your information came from. You must have sources of information, it just can’t come from “your head.” Also, you need to use the APA or the Chicago manual (author-date) of style for citations and formatting. Improperly formatted reports (e.g., no page number, no name of author, poorly formatted citations), will be penalized by one letter grade.
