How do you see yourself?
I see my Jungian 16 personality type as INFP because of the integrative traits such as being reserved, creative, king, and idealistic in relation to the situation. These traits are essential in determination of success in future employment positions or career development. With these personalities, I can work as a journalist, educational consultant, and architect. I am a Type A person because of great sensitivity to time and numbers. According to me, numbers and time determine success in the context of every situation. This is evident through taking my classes and working as a part-time employee. I aim to achieve more with the minimum time possible to maximize the available opportunities. I have high tolerance to ambiguity through better response and implementation of creativity in addressing ambiguous situations. This enables me to execute duties and obligations in the context of less certainty in relation to performance standards, career progress, and expectations.
I am highly creative with the ability to develop adequate solution to various problems or issues. Creativity is essential in the context of my future professional career as an architect, educational consultant, and journalist. My best learning style is implementation of logic. This is through mathematical evaluation and verbal/linguistic contribution to the development of knowledge. In the management of impressions, I implement ingratiation thus seems attractive and appealing to the individuals within the environment. In order to grow and develop as a professional and persons, it is essential to integrate several values. I am motivated by the concept of relatedness needs to score. I adopt the concept of Theory Y view of individuals as responsible and hardworking in relation to aspects of favorable conditions. This indicates that individuals perform exclusively under favorable conditions and motivations. I need to illustrate or indicate flexibility with reference to my perception of offers.
My important objective in life is to achieve freedom in the pursuit of professional and personal goals. I have always drawn motivation from leisure time and vacation in relation to achievement of the targets of my best work or difficult situations. This enhances the freedom to think and be creative in handling the situation. I do not suffer from burnout, chronic, or long-term stress thus the ability to execute my responsibilities effectively and efficiently. Life is stressful, but I trust my ability in the management of stress through differentiation between the elements and professionalism.
How do other people see you?
According to view by my friend (insert name of the friend), I am approachable, dedicated, honest, and goal oriented. He also says that I make a good a leader because of my team building skills and dedication towards the achievement of the goals within the shortest time possible. I also offer right impression to my friend through relevant values (terminal and instrumental) for growth and development within the context of an organization. In order to improve with the aim of achieving the right impression is through ingratiation and development of self-esteem. Equal treatment of individuals is another way through which I am able to enhance my impression on my friends and other individuals. I try in most cases to build trusting relationship with other individuals. This makes individuals or other people to see me as trustworthy. This is an essential trait in the construction of right impression while interacting with other individuals and creating suitable balance between individuals and tasks.
How do you work with others?
I am a team player and builder based on the number of teams I have led within the institution and my part time employment. I am able to match personal preferences with the quality organizational culture thus the opportunity to maximize results within the shortest time possible. I prefer legitimate and reward power types with the aim of integrating favorable and effective effects of the power systems into the achievement of admirable results. Legitimate power offers the opportunity to address and influence the situation while reward power system provides the essential motivation towards the achievement of the targets. Integration of these power systems is vital for the realization of the targets within the aspect of an organization. I believe in providing the best opportunity to other individuals thus the essence of being pragmatic.
It is vital to maintain emotional distance and let the end to justify the means. This will provide the opportunity for creativity and innovation thus improvement of revenues and profits in case of business entities. I am effective in diagnosing team development and management of the forming stage. My weakness is massive attention to the results rather the means of production of the outcome. My leadership style focuses on the group with minimal focus on the task. This is through critical interactions within the group with relevant motivation to achieve the task. This quality balance between task and people enables me to achieve targets in various situations thus the ability to manage and execute the duties with essential professionalism. In the concept of face-to-face communication, I tend to create relaxed, friendly, and attentive environment to eliminate communication barriers. This is essential in the achievement of the goals of interaction. I am also an effective listener with the aim of promoting or enhancing quality communication. I adopt compromising and collaborating techniques in handling various conflicts within the organization.
What are your goals in life?
My top four terminal values guiding my performance include happiness, salvation, knowledge, and security. To supplement these terminal values, I have several instrumental values: caring/helpful, education/intellectual pursuit, hard work/achievement, and obedience. I would want to maximize my potential in leadership with the aim of being the best leader in the current generation. This is through integration of admirable traits in enhancing communication, creating right impressions, contributing in the team building and development, and focusing on the achievement of the targets within the shortest time possible. This reflects effectiveness and efficiency in the pursuit of targets at personal and organizational level.
What is one area for improvement?
I would like to improve my attention to the means of achieving the targets or results. This is through achievement of the right balance between the people and task oriented leadership traits. This maximizes the opportunities and outcome of the team in the pursuit of the personal and organizational targets. Achievement of improvement in this aspect will enhance my growth and development as a complete leader with the ability to integrate integrity and efficiency in the pursuit of goals.
