Personal Statement
I want to pursue a mental health degree from your University. I believe I have the qualifications required to pursue this degree. First, I have a degree in health and social care, and it has been my dream of using the skills I have acquired to enhance health care practices. In addition to this, I feel very strong that am ready to specialize in mental health practices and work towards a furthering my studies. I am also motivated towards achieving more because of the sense of emotional fulfillment that I receive laboring to make health care services better in the environment. Having worked over a three-year period taking care of people with patients with mental disabilities, a mental degree program is ideal for my long-term career successes. In pursuing the degree, I stand to gain knowledge, skills, and creative interest.
I have been looking forward to developing advanced skills in mental health diagnosis and treatment. It has been my sincere and humble hope that I will provide valuable leadership and management to tackle daily challenges that I encounter in the hospital environment. I am especially am looking forward to practice in a stimulating environment such as a home care, nursing homes, schools, and hospitals. My understanding of caring for others as a profession would include finding the appropriate resources and treatment plans that help me maximize on the human potential for the population I serve consequently, this transcends across the entire world. By understanding, the core values of a healthcare practitioner such as human dignity, social justice, and worth. I feel very inspired to thrive in such a working environment. By completing the degree mental degree program at the University, I feel that I will obtain the required competencies to put me ahead in the field.
It is my intention to complete my studies in mental health in your University. I also believe that a degree from your University would be an excellent springboard from which I can pursue my doctoral degree. I want to attend a distinguished University such as this where students are trained to become leaders in the respective position. A variety of areas related to medicine that includes nursing management and administration, with rigorous courses in nursing theories, research, and current trends pertaining to health care delivery, especially based on mental health care.
While some always see me as a reserved person, I however have a knack to questioning things to understand, or express myself. My curiosity is in order to contribute to the society through enhancement of health care that comes from teamwork. My character has also been to contribute to the collective good of nursing offering me the opportunity to touch others through the caring process. I have been drawn to nursing for so many years and am pleased to have earned a degree in health and social care. In addition, I also worked in a care home where I took care of old people with dementia. The greatest contribution, I might be able to offer the society, would be to improve the level our health care system, through better decision-making and making them more efficient to improve health care performance. I will make this promise that I will give my all in pursuing the program, struggling along your able guidance towards the attainment of my degree in mental health.
