Government

The government is the body with the power to make and reinforce laws within certain organizations. The main duty of the government is to take care of the public and appreciate the individuals who do right things while punishing the wrongdoers. The government is the most essential organ in a nation (United States 1978). It is evident that if everyone had their laws and constitution based on the scriptural principles, the society will be a better place as crime and prejudice. This means that injustice, slavery and war would not be experienced.

The organization of the constitution comprises of hours of debate and compromise, and even after its completion, it is evident that some delegates resist the constitution. Individuals are divided into two radical groups, the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists (United States 1978).  According to the United States, these two parties, the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists aided in the formation of the constitution.

Topic 3

Federalism

Federalism is the structure of the government created in the United States constitution. Federalism implicates on the division of powers between the national and the state government. Majority of the powers are delegated through the national government, eventually they get reserved by the state (United States 1978).

Advantages

The major advantage of federalism is that it creates a protection block in the member states. The government can be central, meaning that it usually functions to keep the country as a working union. It also ensures that the states do not encroach on certain people or intrude their privacy. The state has control on what individuals are subjected to doing, for example criminal laws, property laws and the contract laws. The states have the responsibility of regulating issues that affects the state and promotes development.

Disadvantages

Federalism has the following shortcomings; It leads to the alteration of national policy creation. This is evident where the state lacks policy on certain issues, instead of several confusing policies. The issue of lack of accountability has been related to federalism since there is the overlapping of boundaries surrounding the national and state governments, an aspect that results the government being blamed for failed policies.
